Support & FAQ
The questions we actually get, answered honestly. If yours is not here, email support@apperssystems.com — a real person reads it, and a flight number plus a date gets you a much better answer than "it did not work".
Which flights are covered?
Coverage is strongest for scheduled commercial passenger flights operated by airlines that file schedule and status information with the industry feeds our data provider aggregates. That covers the large majority of trips people actually check. Charter flights, cargo services, private and general aviation, and some domestic-only regional routes may be missing or carry fewer details.
Why can the app not find my flight?
Four causes account for almost every case. The flight is a codeshare, so the number on your ticket belongs to the airline that sold the seat rather than the one operating the aircraft — try the operating carrier’s number, which is usually printed underneath. The date is wrong, and a flight number that exists tomorrow returns nothing today. The flight is a charter or a very small operator, and never enters the feed at all. Or the number was entered with a space or a missing airline code, so try the code and digits together, such as AI302. If none of that helps, search by route instead, or email us the flight number and date and we will check coverage for it.
Why does the status differ from what the airline says?
Because the airline is the source and we are a copy of it. Our data travels from the airline through an aggregator and an API before it reaches your phone, and each link adds a little delay. Airport screens are driven directly by the airport’s own systems, so they change first. Updates normally reach us within minutes, but during weather disruption, strikes or diversions the volume of changes rises and feeds fall behind. For anything time-critical, confirm with your airline.
What do the gate, terminal and baggage fields mean, and why are they sometimes blank?
Gate is the departure gate the flight is expected to board from, terminal is the building it departs from or arrives into, and baggage is the arrival carousel or belt number where checked bags will appear. These three fields are optional in most airline and airport feeds, so a blank field means nobody has published a value yet, not that the flight has no gate. Gates in particular are assigned late and reassigned often, sometimes announced in the terminal before any feed knows. Treat all three as a useful hint and follow the displays at the airport.
How do I change the app language?
Open settings and pick from 15 languages. The change is instant: the interface switches immediately, with no restart and no extra download. You can change it as often as you like, and it does not affect your saved flights or search history. If you find a translation that reads badly, send us the language and the exact wrong text and we will fix it in a coming update — reports like that are the only way we catch them.
Does the app send push notifications for delays?
Not on the free tier today, and we would rather say that plainly than imply otherwise. Push alerts for saved flights are not something you should install the app expecting, and we will not announce a date we cannot hold. What works today is saving a flight and reopening it, which takes two taps and shows the current status. If alerts are the feature you need most, tell us by email — those messages are counted and they inform what we build next.
Is the app free, and what does the subscription change?
Every flight lookup is free. Searching by number or route, flight details including gate, terminal and baggage, airport information, the map and airport weather all work with no payment and no account. The free app is supported by advertising, which is what pays for the data. There is an optional weekly subscription whose only purpose is to remove ads; the price is set per region and is shown in Google Play before you confirm. It unlocks no extra flight data, because none of the flight data is held back. Subscriptions are billed by Google Play, so cancellations and refunds are handled in your Google Play account rather than by us.
How do I delete my data?
You can request deletion of the data associated with your use of the app at any time, and you do not need an account to do it. Our data deletion page explains what is stored, what gets removed, and how long the process takes. Saved flights and search history live on your own device, so clearing them in the app or uninstalling removes them immediately.
The app crashed or a screen will not load. What should I send you?
Send your device model, your Android version, and what you were doing just before it happened — that combination is usually enough for us to find the crash in our logs. A screenshot helps. Please also check that you are on the latest version from Google Play first, since some crashes are already fixed.
How do I contact you?
Email support@apperssystems.com. We read every message. If you are reporting a wrong or stale flight status, include the flight number and the date so we can check that specific record against the source; if it is a translation problem, include the language and the exact text.
