Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Appers Systems ("we", "us") covering the Flight Tracker Android app and the website at flighttracker.apperssystems.com (together, the "Service"). Please read them — section 5 explains the limits of the flight information we show, and it matters.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By downloading, installing, or using Flight Tracker, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service — uninstall the app.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Flight Tracker. If you use the app on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these Terms for it.

Your use of the app is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service, and any subscription is subject to Google Play's payment terms.

2. What the app does

Flight Tracker is an information app. It lets you:

  • Look up the status of a flight by flight number, route, airline, or airport
  • See scheduled and reported times, and — where the data provider supplies them — terminal, gate, and baggage belt details
  • Browse information for 4,000+ airports and see them on a map
  • Check the current conditions and short forecast at an airport's location
  • Save flights, keep a search history, and receive status change notifications

Flight and airport information comes from Aviation Edge, a third-party flight data API. Weather comes from Open-Meteo and is general weather forecast data, not an official aviation weather product. Maps are provided by Google.

3. What the app is not

Being clear about this is more useful to you than any feature list:

  • We are not an airline. We cannot book, change, cancel, or check you in for a flight, and we cannot act on your behalf with any carrier.
  • We are not an airport. We do not control gates, belts, boarding, or any airport operation, and we cannot hold a flight or a bag for you.
  • We are not an official source. The airline operating your flight and the airport you are flying from are the authoritative sources. We relay what our data provider reports, which can differ from what they announce.
  • We do not operate receivers. Flight Tracker owns no tracking hardware and no receiver network. Everything you see is data supplied to us over an API by Aviation Edge.
  • We are not a travel agency, insurer, or claims service. Nothing in the app is travel, legal, financial, or safety advice.

4. Your account and your data

Flight Tracker has no accounts and no sign-in. Your saved flights, notes, search history, and settings live on your device. That means they are yours to delete, and it also means we cannot restore them if you lose your device, clear the app's data, or uninstall the app. If your saved flights matter to you, keep your own record of them. See Delete your data for what is stored and how to remove it.

5. Accuracy and time-critical decisions

Do not use Flight Tracker as the sole basis for a time-critical decision. Always confirm with your airline or the airport before you leave for a flight, a connection, or a pickup.

We work to show accurate information, but we cannot promise that any flight time, status, gate, terminal, belt, or weather value is correct or current. In particular:

  • Status is as reported by our data provider. Updates usually arrive within minutes, and they may lag — sometimes considerably — during disruption, bad weather, strikes, or system outages, which is exactly when you most want them.
  • Coverage varies by airline, airport, and region. Some flights have full detail; some have only a schedule; some are missing.
  • Gate, terminal, and belt assignments change late and are frequently the last thing to be updated anywhere.
  • Times may be shown in the local time of the airport concerned. Check the time zone before relying on a value.
  • Weather is a general forecast for the airport's location. It is not an aviation weather product and must not be used for flight planning or any operational purpose.

We cannot promise the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it — including any feature, and including our data providers — at any time.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, crawl, harvest, bulk-export, or systematically extract data from the Service, or resell or redistribute the data it shows
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract API keys, credentials, or other secrets from the app, except to the extent the law does not permit us to restrict this
  • Interfere with the Service or the systems behind it, including by sending automated, excessive, or abusive requests
  • Use the Service to build a competing product or dataset, or to train a machine learning model on the data it returns
  • Circumvent advertising, subscription checks, consent flows, or any technical limit in the app
  • Use the Service for stalking, harassment, surveillance of a specific person, or any unlawful purpose
  • Use the Service for any operational, dispatch, air traffic, or safety-of-life purpose

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. You may end this agreement at any time by uninstalling the app.

7. Ads and subscriptions

Flight Tracker is free to use and the free version is supported by advertising served through Google AdMob. Where regional law requires it, we ask for your advertising consent before any ad loads, and you can change that choice at any time from the app's Settings. Declining personalised ads does not remove ads; it changes how they are selected.

An optional subscription removes ads. If we offer it in your region, then:

  • Purchases are processed by Google Play. We never receive or store your payment details.
  • The subscription renews automatically at the interval shown at purchase until you cancel it in Google Play. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not shorten the period you have already paid for.
  • Prices may change. We will tell you before a change takes effect for you, and you can cancel if you do not want to continue.
  • Refunds are handled by Google Play under its refund policy. Write to support@apperssystems.com if something went wrong and we will help where we can.
  • A subscription removes advertising. It does not change the accuracy, coverage, or update speed of the flight data, which comes from the same source for every user.

8. Intellectual property

The app, the website, their design, and the Flight Tracker name and logo belong to Appers Systems. We grant you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you control, for your own non-commercial use. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

Flight, airport, weather, and map data belong to their respective providers and is licensed to us, not to you. Airline names, airport names, and logos are the trademarks of their owners; they appear in the app for identification only and imply no affiliation with or endorsement by them.

9. Third-party services

The Service depends on third parties, named in full in our Privacy Policy: Aviation Edge for flight and airport data, Open-Meteo for weather, and Google for maps, analytics, crash reporting, advertising, consent, and billing. We are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices, and their terms apply to their part of the Service. If a provider changes its terms, its data, or its availability, the Service may change with it.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", with all faults and without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, and quiet enjoyment.

We do not promise that the Service will be available, uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, that any defect will be corrected, or that any information shown is accurate, complete, or current. We make no promise about the availability, accuracy, or timeliness of data supplied by third parties.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits any right you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Appers Systems and its owners, employees, and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service.

In particular, and without limiting the above, we are not liable for a missed flight, a missed connection, a missed pickup, a wasted journey, a rebooking or accommodation cost, or any other loss arising from flight, airport, or weather information that turned out to be late, incomplete, or wrong.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim arose, or ten United States dollars (USD 10).

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Appers Systems harmless from any claim, demand, loss, or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of the Service in breach of these Terms or of any applicable law.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without regard to conflict of law rules. You and we submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lahore, Pakistan for any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service, except that either of us may seek injunctive relief in any competent court to protect intellectual property. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence.

Before starting any formal proceeding, please email support@apperssystems.com — most issues are resolved that way in a few days.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. When we do, we change the effective date at the top of this page, and we notify you in the app if the change is significant. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the Service and uninstall the app.

15. General

  • If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the rest stays in force and the unenforceable part is narrowed to the minimum extent needed.
  • Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
  • You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
  • These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
